We are a laid back guild, however, I would like to just to lay out some basic rules that all of the founding members have.
1) We play the game because its an RPG. That means we enjoy to take the time to read the quest information and dialog. That means don't whip thru the game and expect US to tell you what to do. All quests have the needed information within the quest information.
2) Be friendly to the other guildies, and especially non-guildies. We have a reputation that has been built up, and wish to keep it a good one.
3) Don't hold up the group. If the group doesn't mind, thats one thing. Being rude to one person is bad enough, but 5-11 others is not acceptable.
4) For best results in getting a group together, please be on Teamspeak. Even if you don't talk, at least you can show that you are on the computer. This goes for if you are in another game.
5) If you can, get a microphone. If you are in need of one, please take a look at some of the microphone headsets at
Newegg. They have very nice ones that are USB for $29.99. I can personally attest to the
H3306) Favor the guild over another group whenever possible. If asked why you are leaving, state the truth.
7) Be honest. If you aren't in the mood to group up, say so. Nobody can argue with the truth.
8 ) If you have an item awarded via a chest or a drop that is of no use to you, offer it to the party with a favor to a guildie , then the guild, then put it up for sale.
9) Please be mindful of the group while questing.
-Allow the tank to generate aggro/hate. This makes the healers job easier, and allows for less mana to be used to keep the party alive. There are many quests where if you follow this you will have excess mana, whereas if you do not, the shrines will not be enough, and potions WILL be needed.
-DPS down one target at a time. Start with healers, then arcane casters, then the rest. This will mitigate the damage done to the party most efficiently.
-Keep healer kits handy. You don't need many, but a stack of 10 should be fine. This will help get people back up without needed a healing spell cast on them.
-If you don't need a wand that is found, give it to the Bard, Cleric, Favored Soul, Sorceror or Wizard. They may need it.
-Use door shield blocking whenever possible. This is done by blocking the doorway to prevent enemies from getting past you (or a partner). This makes the squishies and the healers happy. Not to mention superior tactic.
-
DO use firewalls and blade barriers on mobs, and
DO make the enemies take damage from them. When a firewall is cast, stand in them if its tactically sound, and have the creature fight in the fire.
-Bards are the classic example, but not the only ones, that are capable of neutralizing a large group of enemies for a long period with fascinate or similar abilities. Let them do it. If a foe is fascinated, leave it be and have the party focus DPS on one target.
